Roz Scudamore
I'm Roz, a busy mum to three children and Ted the dog - which certainly keeps me on my toes!
My yoga journey began seven years ago when I went to my first class in an international yoga studio in Doha, Qatar. I became completely absorbed in the flow of movement combining breath and body, and astonished at the effects Yoga had on my mind and body. I passionately believe in ‘yoga for all’. If you're inflexible- come to yoga! If you have back problems, yoga will help. If you are busy and find it hard to switch off, yoga breathing will become your best friend! I am qualified in the 200 hour Yoga Alliance Ashtanga Vinyasa programme. Vinyasa means yoga that flows, think a soothing combination of stretching, strengthening and relaxation. Its important to me that I keep every class different and fresh, if practiced regularly you will feel your body ‘unfold’ and your mind more balanced. I've been lucky enough to train with some of the world's most highly regarded yoga teachers and my mission has become to spread the many benefits of Yoga amongst as many people as possible, young and old. I love it that yoga enables me to be a mindful mummy, it keeps me fit and provides me with a happy place of calm - which I certainly need with my busy family life. I'm fortunate enough to have a lovely home studio, providing the perfect place for ROSA retreats. I'm looking forward to extending my place of calm and wellbeing to others. |
Sarah DayIm Sarah, a busy mum to two little girls.
Having spent the past 14 years working in the high pressured world of recruitment in central London I felt it time for a change of pace. Since having my girls, my own wellbeing has become more and more important to me. Motherhood is so much harder than I ever anticipated and the want and need to be strong physically and mentally is paramount. When Roz approached me to set up ROSA retreats (see what we did there) it was an absolute no brainer for me and I jumped at the chance to do something that would not only develop me personally but also create something that would help others. Having attended Roz's yoga classes previously I know how fantastic they are but we both agreed we wanted to create something a little bit different from you average weekly yoga class - it was important our days are really special. We wanted local people to be able to have a little slice of London in the countryside ... where you can come and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just focus on - YOU. We want everyone who joins us to leave us feeling relaxed, revitalised, and empowered. We hope to see you at the studio soon! |
